Majestic White Oak at Sunrise
Holland Marsh, Ontario - 2006

I've passed this tree hundreds of times on highway 400 heading north to my home in Alliston and I always said that I would stop one day and photograph it. This shot was taken at dawn in the early spring of 2006. This ancient tree was just beginning to bud, and the branches were in sharp silouette against the rising sun.
