Water Eroded Granite
Loon Lake, Ontario - 2005

The granite outcrops around our cottage bear the marks of glaciers that receeded across Ontario thousands of years ago. The waters of Loon Lake have splashed against these rock for untold years leaving their own mark by slowly eroding the rock into smooth curves. Ontario is a landscape formed by water, and the interaction of rocks and water in a picture has always interested me in the contrast of textures.
