What this is...

A distant mountain slope wrapped in cloud.

My thoughts on this image...

Each time I travel in the Rockies I'm fascinated by the interplay of light, clouds, rocks and trees. Although opposite in composition, the majesty of witnessing light filter through ethereal clouds and the ever changing composition of those elements against rocks and trees that have been rooted in place for hundreds or perhaps thousands of years is a show more interesting than anything I've ever witnessed.

I have photographed this particular slope hundreds of times, yet each time I have my breath taken away moment by moment in these conditions.
